Clinical Makeup
Students will learn the structure and function of the skin. Product knowledge suitable for each skin type will also be taught. The students will learn the art of paramedical camouflage makeup for tattoos, as well as skin discolorations. Makeup appropriate for each skin type and condition will be determined and applied.
This course runs 10 hours over two days

Students will study the science of the skin, our “canvas”. Students will learn the structure and function of the skin; products suitable for each skin type and condition, product ingredients, paramedical camouflage makeup and camouflage makeup for tattoos.
Students may study the history of makeup
Students will learn how to recommend a skin care regime for each client, depending on budget as well as skin type
Potentially harmful ingredients will be discussed
Students will learn how to identify skin disorders via instruction by an Illinois Board-Certified Dermatologist
Practice camouflage techniques on models with vitiligo hyperpigmentation, melisma and other skin disorders
Learn camouflage products and techniques for tattoo coverage
