The principles and methods of Basic I will be taken further in order to learn corrective makeup techniques to alter the shape of the face, as well as the eyes, lips and cheeks. Using principles of value (or tone/shade and light), students will also learn to use highlight and contour to create the “perfect” oval face shape, the desired classic almond eye, symmetrical lips, as well as “correct” eyebrows. Students will also have the opportunity to work with models of varying skin tones, ethnicities, ages and genders. Finally, students will work together on creating a unified look, using face charts and photographs.
