Summer Glow-Up: Chrome Eyes Are Taking Over!

The latest sensation taking over runways, TikTok, and summer makeup routines is "chrome eyes." This trend is characterized by its metallic, high-shine finish that mimics the reflective quality of chrome. Whether you're aiming for a subtle sheen or a bold, futuristic look, chrome eyes are the ultimate way to make a statement.

Get the Look!

  1. Prime Your Eyelids: Start with a good eyeshadow primer to ensure the chrome pigments adhere well and last longer. This step also prevents creasing.

  2. Apply a Base Color: Choose a neutral or complementary base color to enhance the chrome effect. A matte shade can help the chrome pigment stand out more.

  3. Use Chrome Pigments or Shadows: The key to this look is the metallic product. You can use cream eyeshadows, liquid shadows, or pressed pigments. Apply it with a flat brush or your finger for maximum impact.

  4. Blend Carefully: While blending is crucial for most eye makeup looks, for chrome eyes, you want to blend the edges while keeping the center intense and reflective.

  5. Add Dimension: For added depth, use a slightly darker shade in the crease or outer corner of the eye. This can help create a more dynamic look without taking away from the chrome effect.

  6. Highlight the Inner Corners: A touch of lighter chrome or a highlighter in the inner corners of your eyes can make them pop even more.

  7. Finish with Mascara or Lashes: Complete the look with volumizing mascara or false lashes to draw more attention to your dazzling eyelids.

What is Gleam?

Gleam Face & Body Radiance is a revolutionary all in one Makeup, Moisturizer, and Glow you can use for face and body.

What It Does:

Face & Body Highlight/Shimmer –  our formula is perfect as a body glow, body shimmer, body bronzer and body highlighter all in one!

Body & Leg Makeup – Body Radiance lightweight makeup blurs imperfections on the entire body, also known as “liquid pantyhose”, not heavy or full coverage makeup.

Transfer Resistant – long-lasting formula stays put and won’t stain skin or clothing. Simply wash off with soap & water.

Flattering on all Skin Tones – every shade is a different look and any skin tone can use any shade. See our shade videos and chart below.

6 Shades – Darker shades are perfect for contour, bronzing, and amping up a tan on lighter skin. Lighter shades are perfect for glow and POP!

How To Use It:

Safe for the Face – use as an illuminating primer, create a buildable highlight or sunkissed tint

Mix it Up – blend Gleam Body Radiance with your favorite liquid foundation, BB Cream or other skincare product for an all-over glow! When using on the body, do not mix with lotions or oils or transfer may occur.

Lock it Down – top off your glow with our Gleam Body Sealing Spray to seal in your look even longer!

Back By Popular Demand: Color Theory in Flesh Tone with Terri Tomlinson!

March 2nd, 2020 | 12pm-3pm

One of the greatest tools a makeup artist has is color theory. Being able to actively use the principles of color theory during application makes every artist stronger and more efficient. Color Theory in Flesh Tone is a hands-on workshop that translates color theory into the language of makeup.

In this workshop we revisit the basics of Color Theory, and the principles of color used in makeup application. Learn to translate color into flesh tone using The Flesh Tone Color Wheel™, and determine skin tone, highlight, contour and correction. See how using color theory affects every color choice including foundation, eyeshadow, and lips. In the hands-on portion, students will utilize the “Wheel” together with an included color theory makeup palette, to create foundation, highlight, contour, and corrective colors.

This class has a demonstration and lecture portion followed by a hands-on portion.

All participants will receive The Flesh Tone Color Wheel, “Rescue Palette” 10 Cream Color Makeup, Stainless Steel Palette, and Palette Knife!
