Established in 2006, Make Up First® School of Makeup Artistry is the premier makeup artistry-training program in the Midwest. Located in the heart of downtown Chicago, the School offers a comprehensive makeup artistry education for new artists, as well as advanced courses and workshops for those already working in the field.
Make Up First School is state-approved by the Illinois Board of Higher Education. Make Up First is also an approved sponsor for CE under the IL Barber Act (for those estheticians and cosmetologists who need to satisfy state licensing requirements.) The instructors include artists from Broadway productions, Ravinia, the Goodman Theater, Lyric Opera of Chicago, board-certified dermatologists, photographers, and media makeup artists. Jill Glaser is the founder and owner of Make Up First ® School of Makeup Artistry,the only Chicago state-approved makeup artistry school (Illinois Board of Higher Education)-approved makeup artistry school in Chicago. Favorite place for coffee:

The entire downtown area of Chicago during the annual October Chicago Marathon; Viagra Triangle” (gold coast)- a small, triangular park surrounded by excellent restaurants which attracts old (er) men and extremely young women (girls)– fancy cars, short, tight dresses, high heels…great for people watching, but you have to be in the mood!
Favorite Place to Relax:
The Chicago beaches of Lake Michigan; The newly constructed Riverwalk (the Loop); The Art Institute of Chicago (the Loop).
Favorite Place to Celebrate:
The newly renovated Chicago Athletic Association Hotel, restaurant hotel and rooftop (the Loop); Carnivale (Fulton Street, near west loop); the restaurant “Two” (west loop – Grand Ave) for fantastic food.
Favorite Makeup Product of All Time:
The Mixer (FIRST by Maqpro) – even Val Garland has described this product as “essential” to her kit.
Favorite Curse Word:
