GET READY TO GO…
As the economy opens, Make Up First® is reopening with the latest in makeup artistry education. We are excited to announce that we are opening doors to new opportunities by resuming in-person certification courses in June.
You can now register for our Summer course sessions, beginning with Basic Makeup I on Monday, June 14. Space for courses will be limited to be in compliance with state and federal regulations, so be sure to register quickly.
To safely and effectively accommodate student needs without limiting creativity, some of our approaches have been enhanced:
1. Our Environment
After more than a decade, we’ve relocated from our downtown Chicago home to a modern, high energy, airy space in Chicago’s thriving West Loop. In the spirit of forward-thinking collaboration, we have partnered with the renowned salon, Art+Science, to offer our courses each week. Our location is just a few blocks from public transportation and ample parking, and will provide generous classroom space, high ceilings, contemporary ventilation for an open flow; with the enhanced space, we will be able to safely distance, and yet still positively engage with our students.
2. Our Schedule
We’re bringing our comprehensive, in-depth makeup artistry training program into the future with our new collaboration and location.. We’ll deliver energized, industry-leading professional instruction in all areas of makeup artistry as we prepare students to work in all avenues of the industry, including editorial, bridal, theatrical, media, clinical and more. In addition, the duration of the Program is specifically designed to allow students to quickly launch their careers. You can see our Summer Course offerings here.
3. Student Safety
As it always has been, the health and safety of our students, models, instructors, and staff are our top priority. We’ve implemented the following measures to promote the health and well-being of everyone:
Masks will be required at all times, with the exception of the person sitting as a model for makeup application.
Class size will be kept small and the classroom is large enough to accommodate plenty of distance between students.
Surfaces, tools, and supplies will be thoroughly sanitized before each class begins, and students must be responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary makeup kit.
“Together with our dynamic team, and bolstered by our collaboration with Art+Science, the School is opening and ready to help make dreams a reality.”
“The economy is ready to resume, and we know that our well-trained, certified students will lead the charge.”
