Our Certificate Program, approved by the Illinois Board of Higher Education, is a comprehensive, in-depth makeup artistry-training program located in Downtown Chicago. By offering professional instruction in all areas of makeup artistry, we prepare the students to be able to accept work in all avenues of the industry, including editorial, bridal, theatrical, media, clinical and more!

Many of our courses may be used towards Continuing Education. Make Up First® is an approved sponsor under the IL Barber Act.

We also host several workshops every month, aimed at all skill levels.

The Make Up First® Pro Shop is open to students, working makeup artists, and pro enthusiasts alike! Select brands are pro-discounted for our current and former students. We offer an extensive selection of professional makeup product lines, which can be purchased either in-store or online. Our Pro Shop offers a wide selection of brushes, accessories, tools and cosmetics necessary to create (or add to) a pro makeup artistry working kit. From sponges and other disposables, primers, and skin prep, to skin finishing products and everything in-between, we have it all! We make every effort to seek out products that are cruelty-free as well as free from parabens, mineral oils, synthetic dyes and fragrances.
