JILL GLASERPROFESSIONAL MAKEUP ARTIST
Jill graduates from Columbia College and becomes a state-certified makeup artist. She works part-time in retail, and starts freelancing as a media and event makeup artist.
After six years as a freelance media makeup artist, Jill opens Make Up First ® School of Makeup Artistry.
Jill founds the agency Artists by Make Up First, LLC, an agency for makeup artists, hair stylists, nail technicians, and wardrobe assistants and continues to work in the field as well as instruct at the School.
Jill has been published, made several TV appearances and is invited to speak on an ongoing basis for cosmetology and esthetics schools, as well as for the group, Chicago Cosmetologists.
Jill is employed, on an on-going basis, by the School of the Art Institute in Chicago as a guest teacher within the course, Story of the Beautiful.
Jill Glaser is a freelance media makeup artist. She received her formal training at Columbia College, Chicago, Illinois. Several renowned makeup artists, including Linda Mason and Eve Pearl from New York City, and Maurice Stein of Cinema Secrets, from Los Angeles, have also trained her.
Jill is considered to be an expert in makeup and hairstyling for the demands of high definition television, film, video and print. A former corporate attorney, Jill is most comfortable working in the advertising/corporate environment. However, Jill continues to freelance in all aspects of media makeup.
In 2006, in order to answer the need for superior, formal training in Chicago, Jill founded Make Up First School of Makeup Artistry (the "School"). Jill currently teaches the Media, Airbrush and some of the other courses at the School. In so doing, Jill serves not only as a teacher, but also more importantly, as a mentor to those aspiring makeup artists who wish to pursue their passion.
Jill, a licensed attorney in Illinois, served as Law Clerk to the Honorable Justice Howard C. Ryan of the Illinois Supreme Court 1979-1980. She continued to practice law for ten more years.
Jill has worked as a professional, freelance media makeup artist since 2000.
Jill donates her time and skills to "Flashes of Hope" at University of Chicago Comer Childrens Hospital each month.
Jill continues, and will always continue, to train in NYC and LA with high profile makeup artists in the industry.
